Acerax supply and install longspan shelving for a wide variety of storage solutions throughout the UK.

Longspan shelving is a versatile heavy-duty storage system that can be loaded and unloaded by hand, so it doesn’t require the use of a forklift truck. The height of the frame ranges from 1830mm to 3660mm with a depth of 457mm to 1220mm. Beam sizes start at 1220mm and go up to 2440mm. Both the frames and the beams have four further size choices in between. The beams are adjustable every 50mm.

The systems are purchased as a starter bay with two frames and beams which can be extended using additional bays that require only one frame. The beams have deck supports to prevent the timber boards deflecting, spreading or rotating when loaded. Shelf load weights can vary between 500Kg and 950Kg with up to a potential 5000Kg load per bay.

Longspan shelving  is supplied with chipboard decks that sit inset of the beam edge to protect it from damage. Shelving can be supplied to divide the bay vertically and special tubular beams provided for garment storage.

UK delivery can be expected in five working days from receipt of order.

Selling your used longspan shelving

Acerax understand the importance of protecting the environment which is why we are happy to look at buying any good quality used pallet racking and shelving.

If you are in the market to sell some used equipment, our assessor will visit your premises to complete a full inspection and provide you with a fair and reasonable offer that includes dismantling and removing it.

Once the price has been agreed, our trained and experienced professionals will safely dismantle your racking, without damaging your premises, and arrange collection from your site.

Midispan racking is a longspan shelving system that has a galvanised finish which can be supplied in blue if required. The shelves are formed as steel panels that are inset from the beams. 

The system comes in a choice of two profiles.  The lighter choice, which has a maximum bay load of 4500Kg is available up to 3000mm in height, or a heavier duty option with a bay load up to a maximum of 8800Kg.  The frame widths for both profiles vary between 400mm and 1200mm. The beams, which range between 1000mm and 2400mm are available in three different strength levels and adjustable on 25mm centres.  Knowing the correct beam type to choose will depend upon the type and weight of stock being stored. Beams are adjustable on 25mm centres.
